introduction to daoist neidan 內丹

THE PATH

Daoist internal alchemy is a form of self-cultivation. It’s not about belief, it’s not about identity; it’s about practice. It’s about moving from states of misalignment and disharmony towards those of vitality and illumination. In doing so, we completely change the structure and functioning of our physical bodies, energetic systems and minds.

全心在中, 不可蔽匿。知於形容, 見於膚色。

"A complete heart-mind at the centre cannot be concealed or hidden. It will be known through your appearance and seen in the colour of your skin."

— The Neiye 內業 (4th century BCE)
